The
OXFORD INTERNATIONAL FILM
FESTIVAL is the Miami
Film Association's flagship program, which
is held annually in Oxford, Ohio each April. This
globally-recognized event received more than 500
entries from 41 countries on 6 continents globally
in it's first-year alone. The 4-day long festival
regularly features over 100 new, independent films
from around the globe, including local, national,
and world-premieres, along side filmmaker panels,
workshops, nightly receptions, an opening night
gala, and closing night awards-ceremony. Industry
professionals (actors, directors, producers, writers,
composers etc) attend from Hollywood as special-guest
speakers and workshop presenters at each-year's
festival, along-side an average of over 100 filmmakers
from around the globe
who attend with their films and give Q&A sessions
with the general public after each screening.
The event is open to the public via ticket-sales
which open approximately 3-months before the event.
Average attendance is expected to be between 5,000
and 15,000 for the 2008 festival. |
